Laser Therapy

What is Laser Therapy?

Laser Therapy is a medical device that is used for treatment that helps with pain, reduces inflammation, and accelerates healing. The treatment provided by Physiotherapists at Bowen Medical Group is a Cool Laser Therapy called TheraLase. Cool Laser Therapy contains Near Infra Red (NIR) laser diodes which activate the cellular pathways in our bodies. It penetrates the tissue where the laser light energy is converted into biochemical energy. Furthermore, the red and infrared light that is applied to the area will allow the tissue to absorb the light which will cause a reaction to the injured or damaged area and promote tissue regeneration.
